What is the proper ettiquette for thanking pallbearers?

I%26#039;m working on thank you notes to people who sent flowers to my mother%26#039;s funeral and was wondering what I should do for the pallbearers. This is my first time doing this, so I%26#039;m completely confused. I don%26#039;t know the pallbearers very well because they were cousins of my mother and I have only met them a couple times. Do I send a card? A gift? What do I say in the note?

What is the proper ettiquette for thanking pallbearers?
Have your dad do this, for the people he knows, thank the people you know.
Reply:A card of thanks would be proper. Thank them for being there for your mother and let them know how much you and the rest of the family appreciate them being there.
Reply:I%26#039;ve never heard of an official thank you for a pallbearer. But maybe you can call each of them, if you%26#039;ve got their numbers, and just say thanks again.

Stay strong.
Reply:I%26#039;m sorry to hear about your Mom. I really am.
Reply:A card is good. I don%26#039;t think they%26#039;re really expecting anything. Being a pallbearer is an honor in and of itself...it%26#039;s a tough time, a gift isn%26#039;t necessary...don%26#039;t worry about that.

If you really feel up to it, you can call them and thank them to say how much it meant to you having them there.

Honestly, just take care of yourself and your imediate family. I%26#039;m sorry for your loss...I know how you feel. Stay strong sweetie :)
Reply:I would write a letter, and send a gift.
Reply:a few words of appreciation in a card are what I have felt good about receiving, I have been on that duty many times, sometimes people do more than that but it%26#039;s really not necessary,
