Help me think of the right words to say goodbye to the man that brought me to church as a teen.?

This man passed away this morning and although in my older years we lost touch with eachother he was still very much a part of my heart. He and his wife brought my best friend and I to church when we were teens. Actually he is my earliest recolection of church life since my parents rarely took me to church. What do I say on the card that is attached to the flowers I am sending to the funeral home? I%26#039;m tounge tied as you can see. Biiiiig writers block PLEASE HELP!!

Help me think of the right words to say goodbye to the man that brought me to church as a teen.?
Tell them a thoughtful story, quote (that reminds you of him), or just a memory in general will work. And maybe tell his family what sort of impact he had on your life and why he meant so much to you.
Reply:On the card, write how you feel. Write your gratitude. Your pain of the loss. Write something comforting or something like a poem.
Reply:see thelogians ch 4, verse about not worrying about death becuz best yet to come, and thank him
Reply:You have left this world but you will live forever in my heart.

Then, sign the card.
Reply:Leave a message for his wife saying how much you appreciated them caring for you when you were a teenager. The man won%26#039;t know what you write, but his wife will. See Ecclesiastes 9:5,6 and Psalm 15:17
Reply:i am sorry for you lose but say how you feel and thank you for bring you to church and what ever your heart feels sometimes its best to let that do the writing rather then your brain
Reply:I would mention how much he gave you. Not just a ride, but friendship and a chance at hope and faith and how much that meant to you. That despite the fact that the years didn%26#039;t allow you much time together, he was in your heart always and always will be. And honestly, as long as you%26#039;re honest and put the emotions you feel into whatever you write, it%26#039;ll come through.
Reply:My dear old friend you have gone to Glory and will be missed. Thank you from the bottom of (my/our) heart/s that you followed the old path and led us to it. Until we see you with Him. With all our love

Reply:I would put the following:

I%26#039;ll miss you. Matthew 25:34-40.

Matthew 25:34-40 -

%26quot;Then the King will say to those on his right, %26#039;Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.%26#039;

%26quot;Then the righteous will answer him, %26#039;Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?%26#039;

%26quot;The King will reply, %26#039;I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.%26#039;
Reply:Understand that the people who are going to read and appreciate the card are his family. So I would write what he meant to you. Your memories of him. And what that meant to you.
