im asking on behalf of a friend of mine whom 3mnths ago lost his mother, the last week of her life my friend was at her bedside during this week his x wife offered to look after their 3 children until his mum passed away and the funeral was over.bearing in mind he has brought these children up on his own for 6 years and mum hardly saw the children even though she only lived a few yards up the road from them.During these two weeks my friend went home and discovered that his 14 year old son had stolen a large amount of money from him, £300 which he had saved for a new fridge freezer and some flowers for his mothers funeral,it resulted in my friend smacking his son, which any parent i think in them circumstances would have done the same. It seemed to be the worst thing in the world as the x wife who hasnt had anything to do with the children for the past six years decided she now wants to care for her chilren so she reported my friend to the police.he was arrested and kept in a cell until
Can anyone out there give me some advice please?
your friend need a good solicitor...and someone to take his son for a long drive-away from his father-because if one of my kids ever put me thru this crap i would beat him...then it would be worth getting arrested for it!
What is the so called mother playing at? Suddenly wanting the kids after not bothering for 6 years? Sounds like if your friend cant beat the lad, that maybe his ex wife should be in line!#
I dont agree with hitting women or kids...but there a line that needs to be drawn and not to be crossed by the people that should show you some respect. good luck to him.
Reply:well...i really don%26#039;t know what to say...i mean...i am just like you...what to do? I think the only right way is to find a lawyer! Well...i wanted to help you....but i don%26#039;t know how! Sorry...
Reply:Tell him to see a lawyer and fast.
Reply:What kind of relationship does your friend have with his son, who stole the money??? It also sounds like the ex was just looking for a reason to take the kids!!!
This may sound a little silly, but i would let the ex take the kids... Either the ex will get fed up and want to return da kids or the kids will wanna go back home with dad...
When it comes to kids the law isn%26#039;t very forgiving towards dad%26#039;s
Reply:poor poor guy, tell him to get a good lawyer
Reply:Thats harsh, poor bloke! Point out to the mother that he could have reportd the theft to the Police!
Reply:Citizen%26#039;s Advice and a legal aid lawyer should help him sort this all out.
Reply:He needs to get a solicitor and explain the situation!
Reply:i too would have done the same thing.. his son should apoplgise for starters and your friend needs a good solicitor.. unfortunately men have little rights when it comes to their children and although i feel it is not my right to give advice on this as its so serious. i would say go to the ciizens advice bureau also for help. and i hope that your friends problem is resolved soon.. also well done to you for supprting him
