I have been having problems with my Family which has been going on for years. It is hard to go into all the details about each relationship and why or whos fault it was. I know I have some blame as well. However, I have told some of my Family members that when I do die I do not want them to be at my Funeral. I feel that if my Family could not be around to support me and not even call me on the phone that I should have some rights in my death requests. Is this true? Can I request in a will to have nobody be around my Funeral at all?
I am alot like my Mom before she passed on she stated, " If you could not buy me Flowers when I am Alive, don't buy me flowers when I am dead." That is how I feel with my relatives now. I have tried to foster a family enviroment all my life just to be mocked, ridiculed and stolen from. I do feel like that If I can't have a Family when I am alive why should I have a Family when I am dead?
Last Wishes?
Make your arrangements, pay for it in advance and make someone, other than a family member, responsible for your will and final wishes.
However, you cannot control people from the grave. And why would you even care?
Reply:Ok, I'm going to throw some religion in here, but you asked our opinion, ok? My belief is this: When I die, I'll be in total peace. I won't have a care about what's happening on earth, including who, and who doesn't, show up at my funeral.
That being said....
By disallowing some people to be at my funeral, I feel that violates their privilege for closure. If they had misgivings, sins, or bad feelings that they wanted resolved, then I feel it would be wrong for me to stand in their way by telling them to stay away from my funeral. By refusing them closure, their soul would be at unrest, and unrest is not good. Not for them, nor for me.
This is only my belief. Good Luck %26amp; God Bless.
Reply:i think it is very reasonable to ask this because if they dont show you respect now why should they show you respect at your funeral youve got all the power to ya girl
Reply:it does sound like a reasonable request. but who would be taking care of your funeral if no one is there?
